I am a BPS Chartered and HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, and I am accredited by the BABCP to offer Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). I am also an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner. I offer individualised psychological interventions for depression and anxiety problems such as panic/agoraphobia, specific phobias (dogs, spiders, driving, etc.), social anxiety (shyness), health anxiety, OCD and excessive worry (generalised anxiety). I also offer therapy for eating disorders, trauma, anger and stress management, work issues, grief/loss and relationship problems. I supervise other therapists, including trainees.
I came to Psychology in 2002 and received a MSc in Psychology from the University of Goettingen in Germany. I have completed a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology in the UK, which specialised in CBT and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and on the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS).
I have worked with a wide variety of people, from all walks of life and ages and backgrounds in different therapeutic settings including private practice, within the NHS and the not-for-profit sector.
What to expect
The choice of the type of therapy is a very personal and important one as you have to feel comfortable in order to talk about personal thoughts and problems.
